충남 당진시가 6월 호국 보훈의 달을 맞아,의병항쟁 추모식 및 의병의 날 기념식을 개최했다.
이날 기념식엔 의병영상 관람, 표창패 수여, 추모사등의 순서로 진행되었으며, 오성환 당진시장은 숭고한 의병항쟁의 역사를 후손들이 잊지 않도록 할 것이며,국가 유공자와 후손분들에게 감사 드린다고 말했다.
지난 31일에는 유족과 시민, 각 기관의 단체장 50여 명이 당진시 석문면에 있는 소난지도 의병총을 참배하고, 의병들의 숭고한 희생을 기렸다.
