브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 신용보증기금은 지난 19일 미래과학기술지주와 ‘지방소재 및 혁신창업 기업의 투자활성화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 20일 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 창의적인 아이디어와 혁신적인 기술을 보유한 지방소재 및 혁신창업 기업을 선제적으로 발굴하고, 신속 지원해 혁신기업의 경쟁력 강화와 혁신 창업 생태계 조성에 기여하기 위해 마련됐다.
미래과학기술지주는 공공기술 사업화와 기술기반 스타트업 투자를 위해 KAIST, UNIST, GIST, DGIST가 주축이 되어 설립한 기관으로, 이번 협약을 통해 신보와 함께 지방 소재 기술혁신기업에 대한 투자지원을 강화할 예정이다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 △우수한 기술력을 보유한 스타트업 상호 추천 △공동·후속투자 추진 △공동 IR 및 투자 네트워킹 등에 적극 협력해 비수도권에 기반을 둔 딥테크, 혁신기술 보유 스타트업 투자 활성화에 동참할 예정이다.
한편, 신보는 지난해 11월에도 지방기업 투자 벤처캐피탈 9개사와 업무협약을 맺는 등 벤처투자의 수도권 편중 현상을 해소하고 지방소재 혁신 창업기업에 대한 투자 활성화를 위해 노력하고 있다.
