브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 대우건설은 ‘2024 지속가능경영보고서’를 발간했다고 1일 밝혔다.
대우건설은 ESG 분야의 성과를 공개하고, 다양한 이해관계자들과 소통하기 위해 2012년부터 지속가능경영보고서를 발간해오고 있으며, 이번 지속가능경영보고서는 최초로 인쇄책자 없이 전자문서 형태로만 발간됐다.
이번 보고서도 작년에 이어 이중 중대성 평가 이중 중대성 평가를 통해 △고객만족 및 품질향상 △기후변화 △산업안전보건 관리 △친환경 기술개발 및 투자 △통합적 리스크 관리 등 12개의 이슈를 선정했다.
특히, 올해에는 외부 이해관계자의 의견 비중을 대폭 확대하고, EU 표준의 이중 중대성 개념을 충실히 적용하는 등의 변화를 줬다.
이번 대우건설 지속가능경영보고서는 국제 표준인 ‘GRI Standards 2021 개정안’에 근거해 작성됐다. 국제지속가능성기준위원회(ISSB)의 4대 핵심요소(지배구조, 전략, 리스크 관리, 지표 및 목표)에 따른 정보 분류 및 서술 방식을 채택하고, 기후변화 대응, 환경, 안전, 공급망 관리, 인적자원 관리 등 총 9개의 중요 이슈에 대해 4대 핵심요소에 따라 공개했다.
대우건설은 기후 변화 대응을 위한 중장기 목표 및 기간별 세부 전략을 포함한 2050 탄소중립로드맵을 공개했다. 올해 하반기 기후변화대응위원회 산하에 실무협의체를 신설할 예정으로 탄소중립 목표에 맞춰 구체적이고 실효성 있는 대응 방안을 수립할 전망이다.

사회 부문에서는 고객만족 및 품질경영 파트의 내용을 2배로 늘려 품질 개선을 위한 노력을 강조했다. 철근 비파괴검사, 모의 파취조사 등 선제적 품질 검사 및 현장 점검 기준 강화 등의 내용을 추가해 아파트 품질에 대한 고객 등 주요 이해관계자들의 높아진 관심도를 충족시켰고 공급망 지속가능성 관리정책을 새롭게 공개했다.
지배구조 부문에서는 내부거래심의위원회 신설 등의 노력이 포함됐다. 대우건설은 내부거래심의위원회를 통해 기업의 지배구조 하에서 발생할 수 있는 내부거래 관련 리스크를 사전에 식별·관리하고 있다.
대우건설 관계자는 “친환경 기술 개발 및 신재생에너지 관련 신사업 투자 확대 등을 통해 2050 탄소 중립 로드맵을 성실히 이행해 나가겠다”며 “안전, 환경, 사업, 품질 부문 등에서의 다양한 리스크를 통합적으로 관리하여 불확실성에 대비하고 기업의 지속가능성을 확보하겠다”고 전했다.
