세종시교육청교육원 소속 세종유아생태체험센터와 발동동체험마을 영동조합은 지난 한 달 동안 금남면 영대리에서 마을연계 유아생태체험 프로그램(이하 생태체험 프로그램)을 운영했다고 1일 밝혔다.
세조교육청에 따르면 이번 생태체험 프로그램은 유아들에게 농촌 마을에서의 다양하고 특별한 체험 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐으며, 총 916명의 유아(세종시 관내 유치원 10곳, 어린이집 4곳)가 참여했다.
유아들은 마늘, 감자 등을 수확하며 다양한 경험을 했으며, 선생님 그리고 금남면 영대리 주민들과 함께 수확의 기쁨을 느꼈다.
또, 유아들은 밭에서 자라는 마늘과 감자의 모습을 가까이에서 관찰하고 맛보며 생생한 경험을 했다.
프로그램에 참여한 한 유치원 원아는 “내가 캔 마늘로 집에서 마늘빵을 만들래요.”, “선생님! 감자는 일곱 밤 지나고 쪄 먹으면 더 맛있대요.”라고 해맑게 말했다.

3월에는 떡 체험에 148명의 유아가, 4월에는 맛고추장과 청국장 체험에 776명의 유아가 참여하는 등 농촌 마을 연계 체험 활동이 활발히 운영됐다.
