[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 거창군은 3일 거창 항노화 힐링랜드 다목적실에서 가조권역 마을활동가 42명의 공식적인 활동을 알리는 ‘4개 면 마을활동가 발대식’을 개최했다.

마을활동가는 마을공동체 활성화와 마을 문제 해결을 위해 돌봄대상자, 지역자원 발굴, 서비스 연계 등 민·관 협력의 조력자 역할을 하는 마을 내 주민봉사자이다.

가조권역 통합돌봄센터에서는 관할지역이 기존 2개 면에서 주상·웅양이 포함 된 4개 면으로 확대됨에 따라 마을활동가 양성·운영 사업을 통해 4개 면의 신규 마을활동가를 발굴해 2회에 걸쳐 교육을 진행해 왔다.

이날 신규 마을활동가들의 활동 동기 부여와 자긍심 고취, 개인 역량강화를 위해 발대식과 마을활동가 교육을 추진했으며 마을활동가들은 앞으로 본인이 속한 면에서 돌봄 대상자 발굴·지원, 통합돌봄사업 추진 협력 등의 역할을 수행하게 되며 마을공동체성 강화와 마을복지 증진에 앞장설 예정이다.

유수상 거창군 지역사회보장협의체 민간위원장은 “주민이 행복한 마을이 늘어날수록 향후 복지가 나아가야 되는 방향인 마을복지 활성화에 한 발짝 더 다가가는 것이며 이를 위해서는 마을활동가 여러분이 앞장서서 이끌어 주셔야 된다”고 말했다.

구인모 거창군수는 “마을활동가는 앞으로 확대 추진되는 통합돌봄의 핵심 인력이다”며 “개개인의 역량을 최대한 발휘해 이웃이 이웃을 돌보는 마을 내 통합돌봄 체계가 자리 잡을 수 있도록 노력해 달라”고 전했다.
