세종교육청 진로교육원의 우리누리멘토단이 5일 진로교육원 1층 대강당에서 ‘고교 연합 동아리 학술제 제1회 아고라(Agora) 프로젝트’를 개최한다.
진로교육원에 따르면 우리누리멘토단은 세종시 고교를 졸업했거나 세종에 거주하는 대학생으로 구성된 자발적인 교육봉사 단체이며, ‘선배 없는 학교의 선배 되어주기’라는 창립 기치를 내걸고 활발히 활동하고 있다.
2018년에 창립된 우리누리멘토단은 1기 17명으로 시작해, 올해 13기 37명에 이르기까지 꾸준히 성장했다. 총 460여 명으로 구성된 우리누리멘토단은 세종시에서 봉사활동을 열심히 해 왔다.
‘제1회 아고라 프로젝트’는 세종시 관내 고등학교를 대상으로 매년 학기 말에 진행되는 고교 연합 학술제이며, 올해 처음으로 진행되는 행사다.
세종시 관내 고등학교 중 이번 행사에 참여를 희망하는 3개 고등학교의 학술 교과 동아리학생 40여 명과 우리누리멘토단이 함께 참여할 예정이다.
학술 교과 동아리 학생들은 동아리별 학술 도서 및 학술 내용을 발제하여 우리누리멘토단 지도자(멘토)들과 공유한다.
이어서 발제 내용에 관한 질의응답 시간을 가지며, 참여자들 간에 되먹임(피드백)을 주고받을 계획이다.
이번 행사에서 학생들은 인공지능(AI) 답변의 정확성 ,항공기 전기 추진 시스템 ,역삼투압의 활용 ,복소수의 시각화 등 깊이 있고 다양한 주제에 관해 발제하고, 우리누리멘토단 지도자(멘토)들과 공유하는 시간을 갖는다.
이러한 다양하고 체계적인 활동은 고등학생들의 학술적·다학제간 융합적 교류를 도모하고, 인문학적 소양 및 의사소통 능력을 향상하는데 큰 의의가 있다는 게 진로교육원측 설명이다.
정중연 초대 우리누리멘토단 대표는 “우리누리멘토단은 교육 기회의 평등에 기여하고, 나아가 봉사정신을 바탕으로 지역사회 발전에 이바지해 이타적인 공동체 문화 조성에 노력함으로써 궁극적으로 도움을 받은 이가 도움을 주는 이가 되는 선순환을 기대하고 있다.”라고 말했다.
