[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 조규일 진주시장은 10일 지난 1월부터 개방한 ‘구)하대1동 공영주차장’에 대한 현장 점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 점검에는 동 행정복지센터 직원과 주민대표들이 함께 참여했으며, 공영주차장 현장을 점검하면서 주민들의 의견을 청취했다.

구)하대1동 공영주차장 조성사업은 주차난 해소를 위해 총사업비 33억원으로 도심지 내 면적 1333.3㎡, 43면 규모의 주차 공간을 확보해 지난 1월부터 무료 개방 중이다.

진주시 관계자는 “원활한 사업추진을 위해 보상협의 및 이주 등에 적극적으로 협조해 준 주민과 주택 소유자들께 감사드린다”며 주민들에게 고마움을 표했다.

조규일 진주시장은 “주택밀집지역의 유휴지를 활용한 주차장 조성, 부설주차장 개방사업 등 주차 공간 확보를 위한 다양한 사업을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
