세종시가 14일 부강역-북대전IC 연결도로 타당성 재조사에 환영을 나타냈다.
시는 이날 논평을 내고 ‘부강역-북대전IC 연결도로’ 사업 재조사 심의 통과를 40만 세종시민과 적극 환영한다고 밝혔다.
앞서 기획재정부는 지난 11일 열린 재정사업평가위원회 심의에서 ‘부강역-북대전IC 연결도로’ 사업이 총사업비 5,895억 원으로 타당성 재조사를 통과시켰다.
부강역-북대전IC 사업은 세종시 부강면에서 대전시 유성구 관평동까지 약 12㎞를 왕복 4차선으로 연결하는 사업이다.
이에 따라 시는 행복청이 2026년 상반기에 설계를 마친 후 2027년경에 착공할 것으로 전망했다
시는 부강역-북대전IC 연결도로가 완공되면 기존의 혼잡한 도로의 통행량을 분산해 차량정체 등 불편을 해소하고 세종∼대전 간 접근성이 개선될 것으로 봤다.
또, 정부세종청사와 정부대전청사, 대통령제2집무실, 국회세종의사당 등 주요 정부 시설로의 접근성 향상으로 행정 효율성이 개선될 것이라는 게 시의 설명이다.
여기에 세종국책연구단지, 국제과학비즈니스벨트, 대덕연구개발특구, 세종 및 대전 국가산업단지 등과의 연계 및 협력도 더욱 활성화될 것으로 기대했다.
