지난 11일부터 13일까지 3일간 제주도 일원에서 열린 '유·초 연계 이음학기 공동 연수'가 성황리에 마무리됐다.
15일 세종시교육청에 따르면 이번 공동 연수는 2026년 이음학기 전면 확대에 대비한 것으로, 시범유치원과 협력 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 이음학기에 대한 이해와 전문성을 높이고자 마련됐다.
이음학기는 유치원 만 5세 2학기에 유·초 연계 교육과정을 실시해 유아가 안정적으로 초등학교에 적응할 수 있도록 하는 데 목적이 있다.
공동 연수에는 유·초 연계 이음학기 시범유치원 교사, 협력 초등학교 교사, 현장 상담사(컨설턴트) 등 총 21명이 참석했다.
이번 연수는 ‘이음교육 필요성 및 유·초등 협력 방안’을 주제로 한 강의와 유·초 연계 교육과정 사례 연구, 유·초 교사 간 소통과 협력을 위한 시간 등으로 이루어졌다.
이번 연수에 참여한 시범유치원 교사는 “이번 연수가 이음학기에 대한 이해뿐만 아니라, 이음교육의 필요성에 대해 초등학교 선생님과 함께 공감한 시간이 된 것 같아 더욱 의미가 있었다.”라고 말했다.
박은주 유초등교육과장은 “유·초 연계 이음학기를 원활하게 운영하고 확대할 수 있는 중요한 요소 중 하나는 유치원 교사들과 초등학교 교사들의 협력이다.”라고 강조했다.
이어, “우리 교육청은 유아의 성장과 경험이 초등학교로 원활하게 이어질 수 있도록 이음학기를 더욱 활성화하는 데, 최선을 다해 지원하겠다.”라고 말했다.
한편, 세종시교육청은 이음학기 시범유치원을 2022년에는 1개, 2023년에는 4개를 대상으로 운영했으며, 올해는 8개 유치원으로 확대하고, 향후 2026년에는 전면 확대할 예정이다.
