브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점은 오는 10월 27일까지 판교점 5층에 위치한 현대어린이책미술관 모카(MOKA)에서 ‘MOKA 북아트 컬렉션’ 전시를 진행한다고 16일 밝혔다. ‘북아트’는 책(Book)과 예술(Art)의 결합어로 책의 형식을 이용한 예술 작품이다.
MOKA 북아트 컬렉션은 2015년 현대어린이책미술관이 개관 이후 소장해 온 국내외 작가들의 작품을 소개하는 전시다. ‘책의 형태’와 ‘예술성’이라는 주제에 맞춰 김지민·조선경·디지 프래그넬 등 작가 19명의 작품 50여 점이 전시된다.
전시는 △숨겨진 이야기 △이상한 물체 △펼쳐지는 공간 △딴짓 실험실이라는 네 가지 테마의 작품을 선보인다. 해당 공간에서는 관람객이 직접 작품을 변형하고 조합하거나, 기존의 책 형태에서 벗어난 실험적인 형식의 책을 읽을 수 있다.
전시 관람료는 6000원이며 현장에서 현대백화점카드로 결제 시 10% 할인, 15명 이상 단체 관람 시에는 20% 할인 혜택을 제공한다.
어린이를 대상으로 전시와 연계된 교육 프로그램도 진행한다. 대표적으로 메시지를 담은 북아트 오브제를 만들어보는 ‘전하고 싶은 이야기’, 책의 다양한 형태와 예술성을 경험하고 나만의 실험적인 북아트를 만들어보는 ‘종이 협주곡’, 오늘의 나를 특별한 방법으로 기록하고 10년 뒤 나에게 전하는 편지를 적어 보는 ‘기록의 병’ 등이 있다. 만 4세부터 10세 사이 어린이가 참가 대상이며, 교육비는 각 2만원이다.
