이와 함께 저상버스 확대에도 속도를 낸다. 현재 포항 시내버스 184대 중 저상버스는 118대(64%) 수준인데, 약 33대를 추가 도입해 보급률을 80% 이상으로 끌어올리겠다고 밝혔다. 또한 고령층 이동 데이터를 분석해 주요 방문 지역 중심으로 저상버스를 배치하고 노선을 최적화할 방침이다.
