대통령실이 24일 한동훈 국민의 힘 대표 당선에 대한 공식 입장 관련해 "당정이 화합하겠다는 뜻으로 앞으로 하나의 마음을 모을 것"이라고 밝혔다.
대통령실 관계자는 이날 오전 용산 대통령실에서 취재진과 만나 윤석열 대통령이 한 대표 등 국민의 힘 전당대회 출마자들과 만찬을 갖는다며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "만찬 제안 등은 (윤 대통령-한 대표 간) 통화 이후 어제 저녁 자연스레 결정됐다"며 "당에선 한 대표·최고위원·원내대표·몇몇 전당대회 출마자분들이 참석 예정"이라고 말했다.
이어 "대통령실에서 수석급 이상 참모진들이 참석할 예정으로 구체적 참석자는 조율 중"이라고 전했다.
또 만찬 의미 관련해선 "대통령께서도 어제 축사를 통해 당정이 하나 돼야 한다. 운명공동체라 말했다"며 "오늘 만찬은 대화합의 만찬"이라고 밝혔다.
더불어 전당대회 낙선자들의 만찬 참석에 대해선 "전당대회가 치열했던 만큼 화합 차원에서 다 같이 초청했다"고 전했다.
또 이날 만찬을 계기로 한 대표와 추가적 정례회동 가능성 여부 질의엔 "만찬을 계기로 추가적 당정소통 방안이 마련되지 않을까"라고 답했다.
