세종주민자치프로그램 운영 개선 방안에 대한 논의가 23일 있었다.
세종시의회 행정복지위원회는 이날 시의회 의정실에서 주민자치연합회와의 간담회를 갖고 개선에 나섰다.
이번 간담회는 주민자치연합회의 요청으로 읍·면·동 주민자치회의 효율적 운영과 주민자치프로그램 활성화를 위한 제안 사항을 청취하고 논의하는 자리로 마련됐다.
간담회에는 김대곤 주민자치연합회장을 비롯한 각 읍·면·동 주민자치회장들과 행정복지위원회 위원 및 시 자치행정국장을 포함한 관계 공무원들이 참석했다.
이 자리에서 주민자치연합회는 최근 주민자치회 운영에 있어서 겪는 다양한 어려움과 문제점에 대해 공유하며 이를 해소할 방안으로 복컴 시설사용료 면제 및 수강료 경감 범위 축소, 주민자치회 처우 개선, 주민자치회 효율화 방안 연구용역 공동 추진 등을 제안했다.
이에 대해 행정복지위원회는 주민자치연합회에서 제안한 사항 중 일부 대해서는 적극 공감하면서도 법령과 조례 등 근거 마련을 통해 제도적으로 풀어가야 할 부분들이 있음을 언급했다.
이어 "수년간 주민자치연합회에서 제안한 사항들에 대해 집행부와 함께 꾸준히 검토 중"이라며 "주민자치회가 더욱 활성화될 수 있도록 적극적으로 노력하겠다"고 답했다.
김현미 행정복지위원장은 “주민자치 활성화를 위해 힘써주시고 있는 각 읍·면·동 주민자치회에 먼저 감사의 말씀을 드리며 주민자치회 운영의 어려움들을 하나씩 하나씩 해결할 수 있도록 노력하겠다. 연합회 회의에 불러주신다면 참석해 더 많은 얘기를 들을 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
