한중도시우호협회는 7월2일 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 2일 중국 하이난(海南)성을 방문해 교류했다”고 알렸다.
이 자로에 따르면, 권기식 회장은 이날 오후 하이커우(海口)시 WGT센터에서 열린 하이난성 국제경제개발국과의 간담회에 참석해 한중 경제 협력과 한-하이난성 지방정부 교류 등에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

권기식 회장은 "한국인들이 선호하는 중국의 대표적인 관광 도시인 하이난이 한국 지방정부 및 기업들과 교류하는 것을 지원하겠다"며 "하이커우 고신구(高新區) 등 하이난 특별경제구역에 한국 기업들이 많은 관심을 갖기 바란다"고 말했다.
장즈민(蔣志敏) 하이난성 국제경제개발국 부국장은 "한중도시우호협회가 하이난성이 한국 도시및 기업들과 교류하고 협력하는 것을 도와달라"고 말했다.
권기식 회장은 간담회 후 국제경제개발국 관계자들과 하이커우시 소재 하이난 전통음식점에서 만찬을 함께 하며 한중 우의를 다졌다. 이어 3일 오전 하이커우시 청사에서 경제협력 간담회를 한 뒤 신하이(新海)항과 세계 최대 면세점인 하이커우국제면세점 등을 둘러봤다.
권기식 회장의 이번 방문은 하이난성 국제경제개발국 초청으로 이뤄졌으며, 한중도시우호협회는 앞으로 한중경제협력센터를 중심으로 하이난성 및 하이커우시와의 경제 협력을 추진할 방침이다.
권기식 회장은 하이난성 방문 일정을 마치고 5일 베이징에서 협회 베이징 지회 간담회를 한 뒤 오는 9일 저장(浙江)성 이우(義烏)시에서 개최되는 '2024 한중일 기업인 포럼'에 한국 대표로 참가할 예정이다. 권기식 회장은 이우시 해외자문위원을 맡고 있다.

Meeting with the Hainan Provincial International Economic Development Bureau and Haikou International Investment Promotion Bureau
On July 2, the Korea-China Cities Friendship Association announced in a press release that “Chairman Kwon Ki-sik of the Korea-China Cities Friendship Association visited Hainan Province, China on the 2nd and held exchanges.”
According to this, Chairman Kwon attended a meeting with the Hainan Provincial International Economic Development Bureau held at the WGT Center in Haikou that afternoon and exchanged opinions on Korea-China economic cooperation and Korea-Hainan local government exchanges.
Chairman Kwon Ki-sik said, “I will support Hainan, a representative tourist city in China preferred by Koreans, in exchanging with Korean local governments and companies,” and “I hope that Korean companies will show great interest in Hainan Special Economic Zones such as Haikou’s High-Tech District.”
Jiang Zhimin, Deputy Director of the Hainan Provincial International Economic Development Bureau, said, “We hope that the Korea-China City Friendship Association will help Hainan Province exchange and cooperate with Korean cities and enterprises.”
After the meeting, Chairman Kwon Ki-sik had dinner with officials from the International Economic Development Bureau at a traditional Hainan restaurant in Haikou City to strengthen Korea-China friendship. After that, he held an economic cooperation meeting at the Haikou City Hall on the morning of the 3rd and toured Xinhai Port and Haikou International Duty Free Shop, the world’s largest duty-free shop.
Chairman Kwon Ki-sik’s visit this time was made at the invitation of the Hainan Provincial International Economic Development Bureau, and the Korea-China City Friendship Association plans to promote economic cooperation with Hainan Province and Haikou City in the future, focusing on the Korea-China Economic Cooperation Center.
After completing his visit to Hainan Province, Chairman Kwon Ki-sik will hold a meeting with the Beijing branch of the association in Beijing on the 5th, and will then participate as a representative of Korea in the '2024 Korea-China-Japan Business Forum' to be held in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province on the 9th. Chairman Kwon Ki-sik is serving as an overseas advisory committee member of Yiwu City.
