세종시교육청 학교지원본부( 이하 세종학교지원본부)가 이달 중순까지 학교 내 천장형 공기순환장치의 미세먼지 저감 필터를 청소에 나서기로 했다.
세종학교 지원본부에 따르면 천장형 공기순환기는 실내에서 발생하는 오염물질을 배출하고 공기질을 개선하는 장치이다. 고농도 미세먼지와 유해 공기 등으로부터 학생들의 건강을 지키며, 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 중요한 역할을 한다.
천장형 공기순환기가 정상적으로 작동하려면, 평상시에 미세먼지 저감 필터의 오염 및 손상 여부 등을 점검하고 청소하는 것이 중요하다.
현재 세종시 관내 유·초·중·고·특수학교 141개교에는 총 7,328대의 천장형 공기순환기가 설치돼 있다.
