브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= BBQ가 여름 성수기를 맞아 워터파크를 찾는 고객을 겨냥해 신규 매장을 선보인다.
제너시스BBQ 그룹은 경기도 용인에 위치한 캐리비안베이에 ‘BBQ 캐리비안베이점’을 오픈했다고 7일 밝혔다.
국내 최대 놀이공원 에버랜드 인근에 위치한 캐리비안베이는 세계적 규모의 어트랙션(Attraction) 놀이기구를 보유한 국내 최대 워터파크다. 장마철이 끝나고 본격적인 무더위가 시작되자 캐리비안베이에는 최근 열흘간 약 17만명 이상의 피서객이 다녀갔다.
BBQ는 불볕더위가 기승을 부리는 날씨에 워터파크를 찾는 고객들이 시원한 물놀이와 함께 맛있는 치킨을 즐길 수 있도록 이번 매장을 오픈했다.
BBQ 캐리비안베이점은 거대한 풍차와 폭포가 있는 ‘와일드리버풀’과 캐리비안베이의 대표 어트랙션 중 하나인 ‘타워 부메랑고’ 인근에 위치해 있다. 물놀이를 하며 간편하게 즐길 수 있는 메뉴를 판매하는 매장으로, 구이류 치킨과 닭꼬치, 캔맥주, 에이드, 커피 등을 선보인다.
BBQ 관계자는 “올해 에버랜드, 잠실 롯데월드, 부산 롯데월드 입점에 이어 캐리비안베이까지 소비자가 원하는 곳을 찾아가 매장을 확대하고 있다”며 “주요 테마파크 및 관광지에서 BBQ를 즐길 수 있도록 소비자와의 접점을 확장해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
