윤석열 대통령이 11일 "파리올림픽에 참가한 선수와 지도자 여러분 모두 정말 수고하셨다"며 "여러분이 정말 자랑스럽다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 페이스북에 "국민 모두가 2024년 올림픽의 17일을 잊지 못할 것"이라며 이같이 적었다.
그러면서 "1984년 올림픽 이후 가장 적은 선수가 참가했지만 우리 팀 코리아는 금메달 13개·은메달 9개·동메달 10개라는 훌륭한 성적을 거뒀다"고 적었다.
이어 "메달을 목에 건 선수들은 물론 우리 선수들 모두가 최선을 다하며 한계를 넘어서는 모습이 국민들에게 큰 용기와 감동을 주었다"며 "도전을 멈추지 마시라"고 격려했다.
더불어 "여러분이 이끌어갈 대한민국 스포츠의 미래를 국민과 함께 응원하겠다"며 "팀 코리아 파이팅"이라고 덧붙였다．
이번 파리올림픽에서 한국이 획득한 금메달 13개는 역대 하계 올림픽 최다 타이기록이다.
