더불어민주당 공보국은 8월18일 서면브리핑에서 “이재명 신임 당 대표는 비서실장에 이해식 의원, 수석대변인에 조승래 의원을 각각 임명했다”고 밝혔다.
이 보도자료에 따르면, 이해식 신임 비서실장은 강동구청장과 수석대변인을 역임했다.
더불어 민주당은 “이 실장은 행정 경험과 공보 전문성을 바탕으로 각계각층의 다양한 여론 수렴을 통해 소통 능력을 발휘할 것”이라고 강조했다.
조승래 수석대변인은 전략기획위원장, 정책위 선임 부의장을 역임했다.
한편, 18일 더불어민주당 전당대회에서 이재명 의ㅏ원이 신임 당 대표로 선출됐다. 더불어민주당 중앙당 선거관리위원회는 8월18일 오후 서울 송파구 올림픽공원 KSPO돔(체조경기장)에서 열린 전당대회에서 당 대표 후보와 최고위원 후보 별 최종 투표결과 발표를 통해 “차기 당 대표로 이재명 후보가 득표율 85.4%로 당선됐다. 최고위원으로는 김민석, 전현희, 한준호, 김병주, 이언주 위원 등이 선출됐다”고 밝혔다.

On August 18, the Public Relations Office of the Democratic Party of Korea announced in a written briefing that “Newly appointed Rep. Lee Jae-myung has appointed Rep. Lee Hae-sik as Chief of Staff and Rep. Cho Seung-rae as Chief Spokesperson.”
According to this press release, new Chief of Staff Lee Hae-sik served as the mayor of Gangdong-gu and Chief Spokesperson.
The Democratic Party of Korea emphasized that “Based on his administrative experience and public relations expertise, Director Lee will demonstrate his communication skills by gathering diverse public opinions from all walks of life.”
Chief Spokesperson Cho Seung-rae served as the Chairman of the Strategy Planning Committee and Senior Vice Chairman of the Policy Committee.
The Central Election Management Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea announced the final voting results for the party leadership and supreme council candidates at the party convention held at the KSPO Dome (Gymnastics Arena) in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of August 18, and announced, “Candidate Lee Jae-myung was elected as the next party leadership with 85.4% of the votes. Kim Min-seok, Jeon Hyeon-hee, Han Jun-ho, Kim Byeong-ju, and Lee Un-ju were elected as supreme council members.”
