국제언론인클럽(이사장 김재수)은 8월21인 보도자료에서 “국제언론인클럽은 8월 19일 고아권익연대(대표 조윤환) 및 (사)디올포원과 보호대상아동과 자립준비청년의 권익옹호와 안정적인 주거생활 증진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다”고 밝혔다.
이 자료에 따르면, 고아권익연대는 보호대상아동 및 아동시설 퇴소자의 인권보호, 사회적 차별해소를 목적으로 2018년 4월 설립된 단체이고, 디올포원은 18세 이전 원가정에서 분리된 아동에 대한 인권보호, 권리향상 등에 기여할 목적으로 고아권익연대가 작년 7월 설립한 사단법인이다. 국제언론인클럽재단은 2018년에 미국 뉴욕 국무부 소관으로 한국에서 활동하는 언론미디어 비영리 단체이다.
국제언론인클럽은 오랫동안 GJC언론·문화·예술인 마을과 자립청년마을을 대한민국 수도권 중심으로 내실있게 준비중에 있다.
정부는 ‘청년에게 공정한 도약의 기회 보장’을 주요 국정과제중 하나로 정하고, 지난 2022년 11월부터 자립준비청년에 대한 지원 정책을 추진하고 있다.
