한수원, i-SMR기반 스마트넷제로시티 관제센터 및 시뮬레이터센터 준공

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)은 23일 대전 한수원 중앙연구원에서 i-SMR SSNC(스마트넷제로시티) 관제센터 및 시뮬레이터센터 준공식을 개최했다.

한수원에 따르면 이번 준공된 관제센터는 SSNC의 운영을 위해 AI, ICT 등 첨단기술을 활용하는 통합플랫폼 시설이며시뮬레이터센터는 i-SMR의 최적 설계 및 운전 적합성을 검증하는 곳으로 3인 운전의 적합성, 인간공학평가, 운전원들의 교육 및 훈련용 등으로 활용될 계획이다.

이날 준공식 행사에는 최남호 산업부 2차관, 김상협 탄소중립 녹색성장위원장을 비롯하여 산학연 주요 기관장과 지자체 담당자를 포함하여 총 70여명이 참석한 가운데, SSNC 에너지 최적 운영, SSNC 도시모델 체험, 글로벌 i-SMR 기술지원 등이 시연되었다.

최남호 2차관은 준공식에서“이번 i-SMR SSNC 관제센터 및 시뮬레이터센터 준공은 탄소중립을 위한 미래형 에너지 도시로의 굳건한 발걸음을 시작한 것”으로“앞으로 정부도 SMR 기술이 우리나라의 에너지 자립도를 높이고 해외 수출의 토대가 될 수 있도록 모든 정책적 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 강조했다.

한수원 황주호 사장은 “최근 대구시 등 한수원이 개발하고 있는 i-SMR에 대한 지자체의 관심도가 상당하다”며 “향후 i-SMR기반의 스마트넷제로시티를 통해 국민들에게 저렴한 에너지를 공급하고 나아가 탄소중립도시로의 목표를 달성하는데 기여할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
