동국대 WISE캠퍼스, 2024년 가을 학위수여식 개최...학·석·박사 290명 배출

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스는 23일 교내 100주년기념관 대강당에서 ‘2024년 가을 학위수여식’을 가지고학사 224명, 석사 58명, 박사 8명 등 총 290명을 배출했다.

이날 학위수여식에서 윤재웅 동국대 총장은 졸업식사를 통해 “오늘 졸업하는 여러분은 코로나 팬데믹이라는 전례 없는 상황 속에서 입학하여 교육환경의 급격한 변화에 적응하며 대학생활을 보낸 세대”라며 “어려움도 많았기에 오늘 이룬 성취가 더욱 뜻깊고 이러한 힘든 시간들이 앞으로의 인생을 살아가는데 소중한 자산이 되었을 것”이라고 응원의 메시지를 전했다.

학교법인 동국대학교 이사장 돈관 스님은 치사를 통해 “여러분들은 동국에서 긴 여정을 성공적으로 마무리하고, 이제 새로운 출발선에 서있다. 동국에서 쌓아온 지식과 경험은 삶에 든든한 밑거름이 될 것이며, ”앞으로도 늘 도전하고 배움을 멈추지 마시길 바라며, 동국대학교의 가치와 철학을 기억하며 더 나은 사회를 만드는데 기여해 주시길 바란다“고 당부했다. 이어 “동국인으로 새로운 출발을 하는 여러분의 졸업을 진심으로 축하한다”고 응원했다.

류완하 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 총장은 환송사를 통해 “세상을 향해 당당하고 지혜로운 자세로 도전하고 성취해 나가길 바라고, 이제부터 동국인 이라는 강한 자긍심을 가지고 자신이 속한 지역사회와 세계 속에서 긍정적인 변화를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 인재가 되시기를 바란다며, 동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 여러분의 자랑스러운 모교로 발전해 나가기 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

문선배 동국대학교 총동창회장은 축사를 통해 “새로운 출발을 시작하는 여러분들의 졸업을 축하하고, 개교 118주년의 역사와 전통과 35만 동문을 가진 동국대 출신이라는 자부심을 늘 가져주길 바란다”고 당부했다.

한편 동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 학위수여식을 맞아 교내 곳곳에 포토존을 설치하였으며, 졸업생들은 학위복을 입고 가족, 친구들과 기념사진을 찍으며 졸업을 축하하는 모습을 보였다.

Meanwhile, Dongguk University WISE Campus set up photo zones throughout the campus to mark the commencement ceremony, and the graduates took commemorative photos with their families and friends in their academic gowns to celebrate their graduation.
