윤석열 대통령이 27일 "정부는 대외환경 변화에 기민하게 대응하며 전략물자의 안정적 공급망 확보를 위해 핵심광물 안보 파트너십 회원국들과 공조를 강화할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 서울 중구 대한상공회의소에서 열린 '2024 문화미래리포트' 개회식 축사에서 "안보 문제가 국가 경제와 직결되는 시대"라며 "불안정한 글로벌 안보 정세는 수출 중심 경제구조로 대외 의존도가 높은 우리에겐 더욱 큰 위협이 될 수밖에 없다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "정부는 나토(NATO·북대서양조약기구)와 정보 공유 체계를 구축하고 사이버·방산 협력을 강화하며 세계 평화를 지키기 위한 연대·협력을 계속해 나갈 것"이라며 "지금 우리를 둘러싼 국제 정세가 매우 엄중하고 규범 기반 국제질서에 대한 전체주의·권위주의 세력 도전이 멈추지 않고 있다"고 말했다.
또 "900일 넘게 이어지는 러시아·우크라이나 전쟁은 오히려 확전 조짐을 보이고 있고 중동에선 이스라엘·하마스 충돌 사태가 10개월 이상 이어지며 확전이 우려되는 일촉즉발 긴장이 흐르고 있다"며 "자유·인권·법치의 보편적 가치와 규범 기반 질서가 가져다주는 평화·번영에 대한 확신을 더 단단히 다져야 한다"고 강조했다.
