윤석열 대통령이 31일 '2024 파리 패럴림픽' 한국선수단 메달 소식에 "어려움을 극복하고 한계를 넘어 최고 성취를 거두고 있는 83명의 대한민국 선수와 지도자 여러분에게 뜨거운 박수를 보낸다"고 격려했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 페이스북을 통해 "패럴림픽에 출전한 대한민국 선수단의 값진 메달이 이어지고 있다"며 며 이같이 적었다.
그러면서 "어젯밤 파리에서 기쁜 소식이 전해졌다"며 "여자 사격 이윤리 선수가 이번 대회 첫 메달을 따냈고, 남자 사격 조정두 선수가 첫 금메달을 목에 걸었다"고 적었다.
이어 "특전사 복무 중 부상으로 장애를 입은 사격 서훈태 선수 동메달은 그 자체로 감동의 역전 드라마"라며 "탁구 서수연·윤지유 선수의 은메달과 차수용·박진철 선수의 동메달까지 여러분이 정말 자랑스럽다"고 밝혔다.
더불어 "마지막까지 국민과 함께 힘껏 응원하겠다"며 "팀 코리아, 파이팅"이라고 덧붙였다.
