[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도 전세피해지원센터는 지난달 31일 ‘찾아가는 전세피해지원상담’을 했다.
이번 상담은 안성시 내리안 다문화 가족지원센터에서 외국인 전세사기 피해자 한국의 전세제도와 법률에 대한 이해도가 낮아 피해구제에 어려움을 겪는 외국인 피해자를 대상으로 실질적인 상담을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 고려인 피해자가 대부분인 상황을 고려해 러시아어 전문 통역을 지원했으며 외국인들이 받을 수 있는 지원 안내, 무료 법률 상담 등을 했다.
권지웅 경기도 전세피해지원센터장은 “경기 안성 뿐 아니라, 언어의 장벽으로 피해구제 지원 및 상담을 원활히 받지 못하는 외국인 피해자가 더 있을 것으로 보인다”며 “타국에서 피해를 입은 만큼 외국인 피해자가 구제 절차에서 소외되지 않도록 섬세하게 살피도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
