대통령실이 전국 17개 광역시·도권역 응급의료 현장에 비서관들을 파견해 추석 전까지 응급 의료 상황을 직접 확인하는 방안을 검토 중이다.
대통령실 관계자는 5일 오전 "정부는 추석 대비 응급의료특별대책을 수립하고 지자체에 비상의료관리 상황반을 설치해 대비토록 하고 있다"며 "대통령실은 응급의료 현장을 방문해 헌신하는 의료진을 격려하는 한편 애로·건의 사항을 경청해 정책에 반영하는 방안을 검토 중"이라고 전했다.
그러면서 "비서관·행정관에게 큰 병원·작은 병원 각각 1개씩을 맡겨 추석 전까지 현장에서 객관적 상황을 보고케 하는 방안을 검토하고 있다"고 전했다.
