대통령실이 6일 한동훈 국민의 힘 대표의 의료 공백 해소 등을 위한 '여·야·의·정 협의체 구성' 제안에 "긍정적"이라고 밝혔다.
대통령실 관계자는 이날 오전 "제안에 대해 긍정적"이라며 "의료계가 대화 테이블에 나오는 게 우선"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "의대정원 문제는 의료계가 합리적 안을 제시하면 언제든 제로베이스에서 논의하겠다"고 덧붙였다.
앞서 이날 한 대표는 서울 종로구 한국기독교회관에서 종교계 예방에 앞선 현안 브리핑을 통해 "의료 공백 해소·지역·필수의료체계 개선을 위한 여·야·의·정 협의체를 구성하자"고 야당·의료계에 제안했다.
그러면서 "의대 증원 문제로 장기간 의료 공백이 발생하면서 국민 불편이 가중되고 응급 의료 불안이 크다"며 "여·야·의·정이 함께 머리 맞대고 의료 현장 진료 서비스를 정상화하면서 의료 개혁이 국민에 도움되도록 효율적으로 진행되도록 협의하고 의대 증원 합리적 대안을 모색하는 협의체를 구성하자는 것"이라고 전했다.
