[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시가 추석 명절(15일부터 18일까지)동안 비봉~매송 간 도시고속도로의 통행료를 면제한다.
정부가 추석 연휴 민생안정 대책으로 고속도로의 통행료 면제를 정책과제로 발표함에 따라 시에서 관리하는 민자도로의 통행료도 함께 면제해 연휴기간 귀성·귀경길 교통비 부담을 완화하겠다는 취지이다.
이에 따라 비봉~매송 간 도시고속도로 이용 차량은 오는 15일 오전 0시부터 18일 자정까지 통행권을 뽑지 않고 톨게이트를 지나는 방법으로 면제 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
정명근 화성시장은“추석 연휴를 맞아 고물가·고금리 상황에따른 화성시민의 경제적 부담을 완화하기 위해 통행료 면제를 결정했다”며, “관내 관광지 방문객 증가 등으로 지역경제에많은 부가가치가 창출될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
한편, 시는 이번 추석 연휴 동안 약 14만4천여 대가 면제 혜택을 받을 수 있을 것으로 예상하고 있다.
