[브레이크뉴스경기남부=성남 이현준기자] 성남시는 ‘솔로몬의 선택’ 행사 참가자 중 36%가 연애 중이라고 답했다.
시는 지난해 7월~11월 5차례 개최한 솔로몬의 선택 행사 참가자(460명)를 대상으로 1년간의 생활·인식 변화 등에 관한 온라인 설문 조사(7.15~24)를 벌인 결과 응답자 320명 중 36%가 연애 중이라고 답했다고 12일 밝혔다.
연애 중인 이들(115명) 중 20명은 솔로몬의 선택 행사에서 매칭 성사된 상대방과 만남을 이어가고 있었고, 5명은 조별 뒤풀이 모임 등으로 만난 이들과 연애 중이다.
다른 90명은 솔로몬의 선택 행사가 계기가 돼 친구 소개팅, 부모 소개, 맞선 등 다양한 경로로 연애를 시작했다고 답했다.
연애 중인 상대방과의 결혼 계획이 있느냐는 질문엔 90명(115명의 78.3%)이 ‘그렇다’고 응답했다.
설문 응답자 중 4명(1.3%)은 기혼이라고 답했다. 이 중 1명은 솔로몬의 선택 행사에서 매칭 성사된 상대방과 결혼했다고 답했고, 다른 3명은 사적인 만남으로 결혼하게 됐다고 답했다.
솔로몬의 선택 행사를 가족이나 지인에게 추천할 의향이 있느냐는 질문엔 설문 응답자의 82.5%(264명)가 ‘그렇다’고 답했다.
최대 2개까지 응답할 수 있는 추천 이유 7가지에 대해선 추천 의향자 264명 중 64.4%(170명)가 ‘지자체에서 주관하는 사업이라 믿을 수 있어서’를 꼽았다. 이어 43.9%(116명)가 ‘많은 사람을 만날 수 있어서’를 꼽았다.
시 관계자는 미혼 남녀에게 자연스러운 만남의 기회를 제공해 결혼에 관한 긍정적인 가치관을 확산하고 있다는 분석을 내놨다.
그러면서 “결혼은 비교적 상당한 시간을 요하는 과정이기 때문에 일정 시간 이후 후속 조사가 필요하다”면서 “연애 중인 상대방과의 결혼 계획이 78.3%로 나타나 결혼 커플이 계속 늘어날 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
솔로몬의 선택 행사는 미혼 청춘남녀 결혼 장려 시책의 하나로 성남시가 2년 차 추진 중인 사업이다.
지난해 7월부터 최근까지 8차례 열린 행사에서 남녀 380쌍 중 166쌍(44%)의 커플이 이어졌고 부부 1호(7.7), 2호(9.1)가 탄생했다.
솔로몬의 선택 행사는 앞으로 5차례(4~8차) 더 열린다.
이 중 4·5차는 신청 마감했고, 6·7·8차 솔로몬의 선택 참가자 300명을 오는 9월 13일부터 10월 4일까지 시 홈페이지를 통해 모집한다.
