울진군에 따르면 이날 추석맞이 장보기 행사는 전통시장 장날을 이용하여 공무원 및 기관·단체 임직원들이 솔선수범 참여하여 전통시장에 활기를 불어넣고 상인들에게 실질적인 도움을 주기 위해 마련됐다.
장보기 행사는 지난 6일 기성의 척산 시장을 시작으로 13일 후포시장까지 7개 전통시장에서 진행된다.
특히 <의성.청송.영덕.울진> 지역구의 박형수 국회의원도 장보기 행사에 동참하여 지역 상인들을 격려하고, 추석을 앞둔 민생을 살피며 지역발전을 위해 함께하는 시간을 가졌다.
손병복 울진군수는 “어려운 지역상권에 활력을 불어넣기 위한 장보기 행사에 함께해 주신 박형수 의원님과 기관.단체 관계자 여러분에게 감사드린다”라며 “추석 명절 건강하고 편안하게 보내시기 바라며, 앞으로도 많은 주민들이 전통시장을 이용하고, 관광객들이 찾아올 수 있도록 전통시장을 살리는 일에 함께 힘을 모으자”라고 말했다.
한편 울진바지게시장에서는 추석 명절 소비자 부담을 덜기 위해 해양수산부의 지원으로 수산물 온누리상품권 환급행사와 동행축제가 함께 진행하고 있다. 당일 수산물 구입 영수증을 지참하고 고객편의시설 환급부스에 방문하면 최대 2만원까지 환급받을 수 있다.
