브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 쿠팡이 추석 연휴를 앞두고 중소상공인 판매자들의 자금 부담을 덜기 위해 3000억원이 넘는 규모의 정산대금을 조기 지급한다.
쿠팡은 마켓플레이스와 로켓그로스 판매자들의 9월 말 도래하는 정산대금 3131억원을 13일 지급한다고 밝혔다. 마켓플레이스(12만여명)와 로켓그로스(1만7000여명) 소상공인 판매자 13만7000여명이 대상이다.
쿠팡이 중소상공인 판매자들의 정산대금을 조기 지급한 것은 명절을 전후해 원자재 대금 지급 등 자금 수요가 일시적으로 몰리는 중소상공인들을 지원하기 위한 것이다. 이번 조치가 고금리와 고물가 속 경기침체 상황에 놓인 중소상공인 판매자들의 자금 운용에 도움이 될 것으로 예상된다.
쿠팡은 2021년에도 중소형 판매자들에게 1000억원 규모의 판매대금을 조기 지급하는 등 주기적으로 중소상공인들의 자금 운용과 판로개척을 지원하는데 앞장서 왔다. 2022년에만 6800억원 이상을 소상공인의 판로개척에 지원했다.
쿠팡 관계자는 “지역 중소상공인들과의 동반성장이 쿠팡이 진정으로 성장하는 길”이라며 “앞으로 중소상공인 판매자들에게 실질적으로 도움이 될 수 있는 지원책을 확대해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
