추석 연휴 기간 응급의료 특별대책으로는 우선 손병복 군수를 반장으로‘비상의료관리상황반’을 설치해 안정적인 응급의료 및 비상진료체계 가동에 총격을 기울인다.
연휴 기간 동안 울진군민과 울진군을 방문하는 귀성객들이 진료 불편을겪지 않도록 지역응급의료기관인 울진군의료원은 정상적으로 응급실을24시간 운영한다.
또한, 응급의료기관 전담 책임관(2명)을 지정해 응급상황을 매일 점검(모니터링)하고 특이사항 발생 시 즉시 조치하는 등 적극 대응한다.
연휴 기간 경증 환자들이 쉽게 의료 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 문 여는병·의원과 약국 현황을 울진군 누리집, 응급의료포털, 응급의료정보제공앱,129 보건복지부콜센터, 119 구급상황관리센터, 120 지자체콜센터 등을 통해 정보를 제공한다.
