대통령실이 24일 중동 관련 안보·경제현안 상황점검회의를 열고 상황 악화에 대비한 긴급 철수 대책 포함 안전 조치 강화 방안 등을 검토했다고 전했다.
대통령실은 이날 오후 용산 대통령실에서 신원식 국가안보실장·성태윤 정책실장 공동 주재로 회의를 갖고 중동 지역 한국 기업·파병부대·외교공관 등 안전을 점검하며 이같이 검토했다.
최근 이스라엘·레바논 무장정파 헤즈볼라 간 교전이 격화되면서 확전 우려가 고조되고 있기 때문이다.
또 경제적 영향에 대해선 국내외 시장모니터링을 지속하고 이상 징후 발생 시 단계별 대응 매뉴얼에 따라 필요 조치를 즉각 시행키로 했다.
다만 현 중동 전황이 원유·가스 수급·해운 물류 등에 미치는 영향은 아직은 제한적인 걸로 파악됐다.
