26일 군에 따르면 ‘지역별 무공해차 전환 브랜드사업’은 지역 특성과 연계하여 지자체와 민간사업자가 공동으로 전기차 충전 기반 시설을 구축하는 사업이다.
군은 전기차 충전시설 설치·운영 민간사업자 공모를 진행하여 최종 선정된 민간사업자 파킹클라우드(주)와 전기차 충전 취약 거점 지역인 13개소에 34기(급속4기, 완속30기)의 충전기를 군비 투입 없이 국비와 민간투자를 통해 설치함으로써 자체 설치로 인한 어려움을 해소하고 예산을 절감하는 효과를 얻는 동시에 얻게 됐다.
파킹클라우드(주)는 현재 전국에 약 8,000개 이상의 직영·제휴 주차장 네트워크를 보유, 전국 주차장의 입·출차 데이터를 기반으로 공공, 상업, 문화시설, 관광지 등 전기차 운전자의 생활 동선에서 충전할 수 있는 목적지 위주 충전 인프라를 확장하고 있으며 전기차 충전 브랜드 '아이파킹EV'를 운영하고 있다.
손병복 울진군수는“지속적인 전기차 충전 인프라 확충은 군민의 전기차 이용 편의성 향상을 포함하여 외부 관광객 유치에 긍정적인 효과를 가져올 것이다”라며,“2050 탄소중립과 기후위기 대응에도 큰 도움이 될 것이다”라고 기대를 전했다.
