세종시교육청은 8일 본청 2층 대강당에서 본청과 직속 기관 직원 총 80여 명을 대상으로 한 제578돌 한글날 맞이 기념 행사를 가졌다.
이번 행사는 직원들이 우리말 ‘한글’의 아름다움과 소중함을 되새기고, 올바른 우리말 사용을 적극적으로 실천할 수 있도록 장려하기 위해 마련됐다.
이닐 행사는 직원들의 관심을 끌고 참여를 높이기 위해 강의와 문제 풀이 등 다채로운 프로그램을 준비했다.
우선, 직원들은 ‘도전! 내가 바로 한글왕!’ 문제 풀이 프로그램에 참여해 한글의 역사, 맞춤법 등 우리말과 관련된 다양한 문제를 풀었다.
이 과정에서 직원들은 한글의 매력과 가치를 다시 한번 느끼고, 바른말 사용을 깨닫는 등 즐겁고 유익한 배움의 시간을 보냈다.
또, 세종시교육청은 일상에서 자주 사용하는 외래어를 다듬은 말로 표현한 ‘578돌 한글날 기념, 올바른 우리말 쓰기’ 홍보물(엽서)을 배포해, 직원들이 올바른 우리말을 사용할 수 있도록 독려했다.
행사에 참여한 위정상 주무관은 “한글의 가치를 다시금 되새기고, 우리 글자의 소중함을 몸소 체험하는 의미 있는 시간이었으며, 앞으로도 우리말의 참된 가치를 느낄 수 있는 이러한 행사가 지속되면 좋겠다.”라고 말했다.
김혜덕 세종교육청 소통담당관은 “‘ 교육청은 교직원들이 우리말을 올바르게 사용할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 마련해 우리말 ’한글‘에 대한 자부심을 심어주는 활동을 해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
