라오스를 방문한 윤석열 대통령이 10일(현지시간) "한·아세안이 평화·번영·상생을 위한 미래 동반자로서 새로운 35년을 함께 일궈 나가길 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
'연계성·회복력 강화' 주제로 열리는 아세안(ASEAN·동남아시아국가연합) 정상회의 참석차 라오스를 방문한 윤 대통령은 라오스 영자지 '비엔티안 타임즈'에 기고한 '한·아세안 포괄적 전략동반자 관계: 평화·번영·상생을 위한 미래 연대' 글에서 "한·아세안 관계를 최고 수준인 '포괄적 전략동반자 관계'로 격상케 됐다"며 이같이 전했다.

이어 "현재 국제정세는 지정학·지경학적 복합 위기가 교차하는 중대 변곡점"이라며 "이런 도전에 맞서 최적 전략적 파트너 한·아세안은 평화·번영·상생을 위한 미래 연대로 거듭나야 하며 역내 평화한·안정을 위한 공동 노력을 지속해야 한다"고 강조했다.
더불어 '길이 있는 곳에 발전이 있다'는 라오스 속담을 인용 후 "한·아세안이 지역 간 연계성을 강화하는데 든든한 동반자가 될 것"이라며 한·라오스 관계 관련해선 "한-아세안 관계 발전의 든든한 토대가 돼 왔고 앞으로도 계속 중요 역할을 할 것이며 내년 재수교 30주년을 계기로 양국 관계 폭·깊이가 더 심화하길 바란다"고 희망했다.
윤 대통령은 지난 2020년부터 진행된 'K-City Network 사업'을 통한 아세안 내 스마트시티 구축 지원사업 외 2028년까지 3000만불이 투입될 '한·아세안 디지털 혁신 플래그십'과 2026년까지 1900만불이 투입될 '한·아세안 메탄행동 파트너십' 등을 구체적 협력사업으로 제시했다.
