군에 따르면 장애인 보장구 수리서비스 지원 대상은 관내 등록 장애인으로 기초생활보장수급자·차상위 대상자의 경우 수리비용30만원 이내 100% 지원, 그 외의 일반 장애인의 경우 수리금액의 50%, 최대 15만원까지 지원이 가능하며 전동스쿠터 및 전동휠체어의 배터리 교체는2년에 1회까지 지원이 가능하다.

신청을 희망하는 대상자는 주소지 읍·면사무소 희망복지팀에 방문하여 수리 의뢰서를 발급받아 수리업체에 방문하여 보장구를 수리하면 된다.

손병복 울진군수는“장애인보장구 수리서비스 사업으로 장애인의 자립과 일상생활을 지원하여 생활의 불편함을 최소화하는 데 힘쓰겠다”라고 말했다.
