브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 주택도시보증공사(HUG)가 법인카드로 자신의 배우자 식당에서 회식비 결제한 직원에게 가장 가벼운 ‘경고’ 징계를 내린 것으로 드러났다.
국민의힘 김은혜 의원이 HUG로부터 제출받은 ‘복무감사 결과 보고서’에 따르면, 공사 직원이 법인카드를 이용해 본인 배우자가 운영하는 식당에서 불법적으로 법인카드를 사용한 것으로 나타났다.
구체적인 내용을 살펴보면 2022년 12월 19일 도시혁신기획처 처장이 현안사항 점검 등을 위해 올라온 회의를 결재했고, 같은 부서의 팀장이 처장의 배우자가 운영 하는 식당을 회식 장소로 결정해 팀원에게 45만 원 선결제하도록 지시했다.
문제는 팀원에게 선결제를 지시한 팀장은 자신의 부서 처장과 해당 식당이 사적 이해관계자임을 알고 있었음에도 불구하고 팀원에게 법인카드 결제를 지시한 것이다.
김은혜 의원실은 해당 사건과 관련해 도시혁신기획처를 제외한 다른 부서에서도 해당 식당에 결제한 내역이 있는지 확인한 결과, 3개의 부서에서 2020년 5월부터 2024년 현재까지 총 10 차례 결제한 내역이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 법인카드로 결제한 총 결제 내역은 169만1000원에 달했다.
하지만, 이러한 행태에도 주택도시보증공사는 해당 부서장과 팀장에게 위반행위 금액이 소액이고, 법 위반행위임을 인지하기 어려웠던 점을 고려, ‘계고’에 해당하는 징계만 내려졌다. ‘계고’는 징계의 종류 중 가장 낮은 징계에 해당하며 사실상 경고에 속한다.
