브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 볼로디미르 젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령이 17일(현지시각) "북한이 러시아에 군인 1만명 파병을 준비하고 있다는 정보를 수집했다"며 "북한은 우리와 전쟁하는 두번째 국가라고 생각한다"고 주장했다.
로이터 통신에 따르면 젤렌스키 대통령은 이날 벨기에 수도 브뤼셀 나토 본부에서 열린 EU 정상회의 참석 후 가진 기자회견에서 "우리 정보당국은 북한이 우크라이나 내 일시적으로 러시아가 점령한 영토에 전술 요원과 장교를 파견했다는 정보를 수집했다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 이어 "북한은 자국 영토에서 (파병할) 지상군, 기술자 등 여러 종류의 인력을 모두 합해 병력 1만명을 준비하고 있다"면서 "아직 우크라이나나 러시아로 보내지는 않았지만 파병한다면 (앞서 파견된 장교들에 이어) 두번째가 될 것"이라고 설명했다.
젤렌스키는 "러시아가 전쟁으로 인한 병력 손실이 커서 북한군은 그 부족분을 메우기 위한 것"이라며 "이란도 러시아에 드론, 미사일을 줬지만 공식적으로 인력을 보내진 않았다. 북한 파병은 세계대전을 향한 첫 단계가 되는 것"이라고 평가했다.
