GC가 기업의 사회적 책임을 다한 공로를 인정받아 ‘2024 ESG 평가’에서 ‘종합 A등급’을 받았다.
GC(녹십자홀딩스)는 한국ESG기준원(KCGS)의 2024년 ESG 평가 결과 종합 A등급을 획득했다고 10월 28일 밝혔다.
한국ESG기준원은 국내 대표 ESG 평가기관으로, 매년 국내 상장회사를 대상으로 환경·사회·지배구조 부문의 지속가능 경영 수준을 평가해 ESG 등급을 발표하고 있다.
GC에 따르면 사회부문에서 인권경영 및 안전보건 경영 실행, 정보보호 수준 강화와 다양한 사회공헌 활동에 대해 좋은 평가를 받아 A+등급을 받았다.
환경부문에서는 탄소중립 중장기 목표 수립 및 온실가스ㆍ폐기물 배출 감축, 폐자원 순환 프로세스 운영 등 기후변화 대응 및 환경경영 강화 노력을 통해 A등급을 따냈다.
GC 관계자는 “지난 2021년 ESG 경영 기반을 마련한 이후, 계열회사와 유기적 협업을 통해 ESG 경영을 지속 발전시키고 있다”며 “앞으로도 인류의 건강한 삶에 이바지할 수 있도록 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
GC Receives 'Overall A' in ESG Assessment

GC received an 'Overall Grade A' in the '2024 ESG Assessment' for fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.
On October 28, GC (Green Cross Holdings) announced that it received an overall grade of A in the 2024 ESG Assessment of the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS).
KCGS is Korea's leading ESG rating organization, which annually evaluates the level of sustainable management in the environmental, social, and governance sectors for listed companies in Korea and releases ESG ratings.
In the social sector, GC received an A+ rating for its implementation of human rights management and safety and health management, strengthening of information protection levels, and various social contribution activities.
In the environmental sector, the company earned an A grade for its efforts to respond to climate change and strengthen environmental management, including establishing mid- and long-term goals for carbon neutrality, reducing greenhouse gas and waste emissions, and operating various waste recycling processes.
A GC representative said, “Since laying the foundation for ESG management in 2021, we have been continuously developing ESG management through organic collaboration with affiliated companies,” adding, “We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility to contribute to the healthy lives of mankind.”
