동국대학교경주병원, 만성폐쇄성폐질환 적정성평가 1등급 획득

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교경주병원(병원장 정주호)은 최근 건강보험심사평가원에서 실시한 만성폐쇄성폐질환(COPD) 적정성 평가 결과에서 5년 연속 최우수 등급인 1등급을 받았다고 31일 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 만성호흡기질환인 만성폐쇄성폐질환 환자들의 효과적인 치료를 위해 매년 실시하고 있으며, 건강보험심사평가원은 지난 2023년 1~12월 1년간 6339개 의료기관의 만성폐쇄성질환으로 치료받은 만 40세 이상의 환자를 대상으로 폐기능검사 시행률, 지속방문 환자비율, 흡입기관지확장제 처방 환자비율, COPD로 인한 입원경험 환자비율, COPD로 인한 응급실 방문경험 환자비율, 전체 평가대상자와 치료지속성 평가대상자별 흡입기관지확장제 처방일수율 등 총 7개 항목에 대해 실시했다.

만성폐쇄성폐질환은 외래에서 효과적으로 진료가 이루어질 경우, 질병의 악화와 입원을 예방할 수 있는 만성 호흡기 질환으로 적절한 진료 및 치료가 매우 중요하다.

정주호 경주병원장은 “만성폐쇄성폐질환은 고령화 및 대기오염 등으로 증가하고 있는 대표적인 만성 호흡기 질환이며, 만성 호흡기 질환의 진료를 잘하는 병원임을 입증한 만큼 앞으로도 지역민들의 건강을 책임지는 지역책임의료기관으로서의 역할을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
