유비케어 ‘미소몰닷컴’이 품절 사태를 빚고 있는 비만치료제 ‘위고비’ 업계 최다 물량을 확보했다.
디지털 헬스케어 플랫폼 대표 기업 유비케어(대표 이상경)의 국내 최대 규모 병·의원 의료용품·의약품 온라인 쇼핑몰인 미소몰닷컴이 비만치료제 위고비의 대규모 물량을 확보했다고 11월 1일 밝혔다.
지난 10월 15일 국내에 정식 출시된 비만 치료제 위고비(성분명 세마글루타이드)는 펜 모양 주사 1개로 주 회 1개월(4주)씩 투여하도록 개발된 노보노디스크의 비만 치료제다.
현재 병•의원 의사들의 환자 진료에 의해 처방되고 있긴 하나 출시 직후부터 체중 감량 효과가 뛰어나다는 임상 결과와 함께 유명 인사들의 사용 소식이 알려지면서 품절 사태를 빚으며 구하기 어려운 상황이다. 이러한 유명세만큼이나 병•의원과 약국의 주문량이 쇄도하면서 유통업체들이 물량 확보 경쟁을 벌이고 있다.
미소몰닷컴은 경쟁사 대비 가장 많은 물량을 조기 확보해 11월 4일부터 위고비 3차 대규모 판매를 시작한다.
유비케어에 따르면 판매 대상은 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1.0mg 등 용량별로 3가지 제품이며 경쟁사 대비 2배 이상의 물량을 준비했다는 것.
지난 10월 소량 재고 확보로 오픈 1시간 만에 품절 사태가 벌어진 경쟁사와 다르게, 미소몰닷컴은 최다 물량을 기반으로 오랜 시간 많은 병의원에 위고비를 판매하였다.
이는 미소몰닷컴에 위고비의 국내 유통을 담당하는 쥴릭파마코리아와 거래관계를 맺고 있는 다수의 주요 의약품 공급사들이 입점 되어 있는 유통 구조 덕분에 가능했다.
미소몰닷컴 관계자는 “미소몰닷컴은 국내 최대 규모의 의료용품·의약품 온라인쇼핑몰인만큼 병·의원의 편의를 위해 위고비 물량 확보에 총력을 기울이고 있다”며, “11월 1.7mg, 12월 2.4mg 순으로 5개의 용량 모두 미소몰닷컴을 통해 공급하여 연내 5차 판매까지 계획하고 있다”고 밝혔다.

Ubicare 'Miso Mall.com' has secured the largest volume of 'Wigobi', an obesity treatment that has been running out of stock, in the industry.
On November 1, Miso Mall.com, the largest online shopping mall for hospitals, clinics, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals in Korea, announced that it has secured a large amount of Wigobi, an obesity treatment, from Ubicare (CEO Lee Sang-kyung), a leading digital healthcare platform company.
Wigobi (semaglutide), an obesity treatment, was officially launched in Korea on Oct. 15. It is Novo Nordisk's obesity treatment developed to be administered once a week for one month (four weeks) with one pen-shaped injection.
Although it is currently prescribed by doctors in hospitals and clinics, it has been difficult to obtain since its launch, as it has been in short supply due to the news of celebrities using it along with clinical results showing excellent weight loss effects. As hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies have been placing orders for the product, distributors have been competing to secure supplies.
MisoMall.com has secured the largest amount of supplies early compared to its competitors and will start the third large-scale sale of Wigobi on November 4.
According to Ubicare, it will be selling three different dosages of 0.25mg, 0.5mg, and 1.0mg, and has prepared more than twice as much as its competitors.
Unlike its competitor, which sold out within an hour of opening in October due to a small amount of stock, MisoMall.com has been selling Wigobi to many hospitals for a long time based on the largest amount of stock.
This was possible thanks to the distribution structure of Miso Mall.com, which has a number of major pharmaceutical suppliers that have business relationships with Zulik Pharma Korea, which is in charge of Wigobi's domestic distribution.
“As MISOMALL.com is the largest online shopping mall for medical supplies and medicines in Korea, we are making every effort to secure Wigobi for the convenience of hospitals and doctors,” said a representative from MISOMALL.com. ”We are planning to supply all five doses of Wigobi through MISOMALL.com in the order of 1.7mg in November and 2.4mg in December, and plan to sell the fifth batch within the year.”
