윤석열 대통령이 7일 제47대 미국 대통령에 당선된 도널드 트럼프 당선인과 첫 통화를 갖고 양국 간 협력 논의를 위해 이른 시일 내 만나기로 했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오전 7시 59분께부터 약 12분 간 트럼프 당선인과 통화했다고 김태효 국가안보실 1차장이 언론 브리핑에서 전한 가운데 "윤 대통령·트럼프 당선인은 모든 문제에 대해 직접 만나 구체적으로 협의할 필요성에 공감하고, 조만간 이른 시일 내 회동키로 합의했다"고 밝혔다.
대통령실 관계자는 "트럼프 당선인이 윤 대통령을 빨리 만나고 싶다고 답했다"며 "실무진을 통해 일정을 조속 협의해 나가기로 했다"고 전했다.
윤 대통령·트럼프 당선인은 한·미관계, 한·미·일 협력, 북한 문제, 조선 협력 등 관련 대화를 나눴다.
