울진군, 대규모 원자력 청정수소 생산기지 조성사업 추진 본격화

8일 울진군에 따르면 이번 착수보고회는 정부의 ‘국가첨단 산업벨트 조성계획’에 따라 국가 정책적 사업으로 추진하고 있는 ‘울진 원자력수소 국가산업단지’의 사업계획을 구체화하여 울진군이 동해안 수소 경제벨트 산업클러스터 허브로의 기능을 수행하는 계획 마련의 시작을 보고 하는 자리였다.

울진 원자력수소 국가산업단지는 울진군 죽변면 후정리 일원에 152만㎡ (46만평) 부지에 3,871억 원을 투입하여 원전 연계 수소 대량생산 기지를 구축, 국내 산업 경쟁력 강화 및 국가 에너지 안보 확립, 지역경제 활성화에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

이번 용역을 통해 울진군은 LH와 협력하여 2025년 상반기까지 산업단지계획 수립을 완료하여 정식 산단승인신청을 할 계획이며 착공이 조기에이루어질수 있도록 사업추진에 한층 더 속도를 낼 예정이다.

손병복 울진군수는“성공적인 산업단지 조성을 위해 입주기업 수요와 주민의견을 반영하여 합리적인 기본계획을 수립하고 관계기관 협의 시 적극적으로 대응하여 산업단지 개발계획 승인까지 신속하게 진행될 수 있도록 총력을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
