유기질비료 지원사업은 농업인의 경영비 부담을 줄이고 유기물 공급으로 토양 환경을 보전하여 지속 가능한 친환경농업 육성 및 고품질 안전농산물 생산을 유도하기 위해 매년 시행하는 사업이다.
지원대상 유기질(퇴비)비료는 유기질비료 3종(혼합유박, 혼합유기질, 유기복합)과 부숙퇴비 2종(가축분퇴비, 일반퇴비) 등 5종이 공급되며, 지원단가는 비종과 등급에 따라 차등하여 지원한다.
군은 농가부담을 줄이기 위해 자체예산으로 1포(20kg)당 유기질비료(3종)는 300원 추가 지원하여 1,900원, 관내 부숙퇴비는 600원 추가 지원하여2,100원이다.
또한 소규모 경작자의 영농편의를 제공하고자 경영체 미등록 농가에 대하여서도 군비를 포대당 1,000원을 지원하여 농가의 영농비 부담이 크게 줄어들 것으로 기대하고 있다. 단, 부숙유기질비료는 10a당 2,000kg을 초과할 수 없다.
손병복 울진군수는 “유기질(퇴비)비료 지원을 희망하는 농가는 전년도신청내용과 동일하여도 재신청하여야 하며, 농업인 경영비를 절감해 안정적인 농산물 생산 기반을 조성할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
