진주시, 2023년 교통안전지수 전국 1위

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 지난 2023년 한국도로교통공단의 교통안전지수 평가에서 인구 30만 이상 시 그룹에서 1위를 차지해 교통안전 선도 도시로 인정받았다.

또 진주시는 올해 교통문화지수 전국 1위에 이어 교통안전지수에서도 전국 1위를 달성했다.

교통안전지수는 교통안전 수준을 평가하는 지표로, 사업용 자동차, 자전거, 보행자 등 6개 영역을 포함한 18개 세부 지표를 바탕으로 산출된다.

조규일 진주시장은 “시민의 성숙한 교통안전 의식 덕분에 이룬 성과다”며“앞으로도 안전한 교통 환경을 만들기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
