브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령 부부 공천 개입 의혹의 당사자인 명태균씨와 김영선 전 의원이 15일 구속됐다.
정지은 창원지법 영장전담 부장판사는 이날 정치자금법 위반 혐의로 구속영장이 청구된 명씨와 김 전 의원에 대해 구속영장을 발부했다.
영장 발부 이유는 '증거인멸 우려'다.
명씨가 앞서 자신에게 불리한 증거가 나올 수 있는 휴대전화 3대를 모두 버렸다는 점과 과거 자신이 한 발언에 대해서도 기억이 나지 않는다고 발언한 점 등을 토대로 증거 인멸 우려가 있다고 판단한 것으로 보인다.
한편, 김영선 전 의원과 명태균 씨는 지난 2022년 국회의원 보궐선거 이후 공천 대가성으로 16차례에 걸쳐 7600여 만원을 주고 받은 혐의를 받고 있다. 경북·대구 예비후보자 2명은 2021년 말 지방선거 당시 여론조사 업체인 미래한국연구소에 2억4000만원을 건넸다가 공천에서 탈락하자 일부 돈을 되돌려 받은 것으로 알려졌다.
