제31차 APEC(아시아태평양 경제협력체) 정상회의 참석차 페루를 방문 중인 윤석열 대통령이 16일(현지시간) 이시바 시게루 일본 총리와 정상회담을 갖고 '러·북 군사협력'에 강한 우려와 함께 긴밀한 '한·일 공조'를 이어가기로 했다.
양 정상 간 만남은 지난달 10일 라오스 아세안(ASEAN·동남아시아국가연합) 정상회의에서의 첫 양자회담 후 한 달여만이다.
윤 대통령과 이시바 총리는 이날 페루 리마 한 호텔에서 오후 2시 55분께부터 3시 45분까지 약 50분 간 당초 예정보다 다소 길게 정상회담을 진행했다. 양 정상은 북한군 러시아 파병 등 러·북 군사협력에 강한 우려를 표하며 "국제사회가 북한에 단합된 메시지를 계속 발신할 수 있도록 한·일 양국이 더욱 긴밀히 공조해 나가자"고 했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
