진주시, 아동친화도시 추진위원회 및 옴부즈퍼슨 회의 개최

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 18일 시청 문화강좌실에서 2024년 진주시 아동친화도시 추진위원회 및 옴부즈퍼슨 회의를 개최했다.

이날 회의는 아동친화도시 추진위원과 옴부즈퍼슨 위원 총 12명이 참석해 아동친화도시 주요 추진실적과 용역 진행사항 보고, 중점사업 심의 순으로 진행됐다.

아동친화도시 추진위원회’는 아동친화도시 조성 정책 방향 및 전략과제를 심의·자문하는 기구로 진주시의원, 아동복지전문가, 아동관련기관 대표 등 총 15명으로 구성됐다.

또 옴부즈퍼슨은 아동권리 옹호 및 대변 활동을 주로 하며 민간단체, 변호사 등 총 7명의 아동전문가로 이뤄졌다.

이번 회의는 아동친화도시 4개년 계획 수립에 기반이 되는 아동친화 중점사업의 심의를 위해 진행, 선정된 중점사업은 추후 연구용역 결과에 반영할 계획이다.

진주시 관계자는 “아동의 권리와 참여를 강화하기 위해 다양한 시책을 추진하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 아이들이 안전하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
