[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 21일 시청 상황실에서 오는 2025년에 조성되는 월아산의 두 번째 작가정원 지명설계공모의 최종 당선작에 대한 시상식 및 보고회를 개최했다.
이번 당선작은 ㈜동심원조경기술사사무소의 ‘森茶園(삼차원)’, 조경설계사무소 숲속의 ‘월아숨골’, ㈜공간이오의 ‘시간이 만든 시간이 멈춘 공간’ 등 3작품이다.
시는 지난 8월 월아산의 지형을 담은 지질정원, 삼다정원, 단짝정원의 3가지 주제로 간주할 수 있는 작가 정원을 조성하기 위해 설계공모를 시행했다.
시는 월아산 숲속의 진주 내 레포츠시설 부근의 약 1만㎡ 부지에 3작품의 작가정원을 조성하기로 하고, 공간 이해도가 높은 3개 작품을 최종 당선작으로 선정했다.
심사단은 성종상 서울대 교수를 심사위원장으로 조경·정원 전문가 및 건축관계 실무자 등 7명으로 구성돼 엄격한 심사과정을 거쳐 월아산의 3가지 ‘너덜숲정원’작품을 선정했다.
시는 11월 중‘진주 월아산 작가정원 조성’실시설계에 착수하여, 내년 10월 준공을 목표로 사업을 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
조규일 진주시장은 “기존의 작가정원과 연계되어 확장되는 두 번째 작가정원 조성으로 월아산 숲속의 진주 전체가 정원도시로 성장하는 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다.
