대전특수교육원은 지난 23일, 대전유아교육진흥원과 연계한 특수교육대상유아 주말 가족 실내 체험 프로그램을 운영했다고 25일 밝혔다.
특수교육대상유아와 가족 구성원 등 23가족 50명이 참여한 이번 행사는 지난 10월 26일부터 실시된 대전특수교육원 ‘열린 아버지 교실’ 사업의 다섯 번째 프로그램으로 기획됐다.
대전유아교육진흥원 체험동 3층 ‘들이코스’에서 이루어진 이번 프로그램은 놀이 체험활동을 매개로 특수교육대상유아 가족 구성원 간 활발한 교류의 장을 마련하고, 이를 통해 건강하고 긍정적인 가족관계 형성과 유대감을 증진함으로써 특수교육대상유아 가족 구성원 모두의 정서적 안정을 도모하는 데 목적이 있다.
각 영역별 프로그램들은 신체운동과 건강교육을 위한 모험숲놀이터(9종 체험)와 사회관계 형성을 위한 무지개아래 우리동네(8종 체험) 체험 영역에서 실시되었다.

모험숲놀이터에서는 ▲꿀벌모험길, 아슬아슬 징검다리, 숲속비밀동굴, 날아라 하늘다람쥐 등 신체 활동 중심의 체험▲무지개아래 우리동네에서는 긴급출동 소방서, 튼튼병원, 부릉부릉 정비소, 무지개공항 등 올바른 사회적 관계 형성을 위한 체험이 진행됐다.
프로그램에 참가한 대전선유초등학교병설유치원의 한 학부모는 "가족이 함께하는 놀이 체험을 통해 아이와 소통하며 서로를 조금 더 이해할 수 있는 행복한 시간이었다" 라며, "장애로 인한 어려움이 있는 아이와 가족이 함께 놀이 체험을 할 수 있는 기회를 만들어주셔서 감사드린다" 고 소감을 밝혔다.
대전특수교육원 권순오 원장은 "가족이 함께하는 놀이 체험을 통해 돈독한 가족애를 느낄 수 있는 만큼 특수교육대상유아와 가족에게 필요한 다양한 프로그램을 발굴하여 지원하겠다" 며, “특히, 특수교육대상유아와 가족에게 의미있는 시간이 될 수 있도록 지원해주신 대전유아교육진흥원 관계자분들께 감사의 말씀을 전한다” 고 밝혔다.
